Lyman Lake is located on the Middle Tyger River, close to the Greenville/Spartanburg County line in South Carolina. It is a 350 acre reservoir lake that is operated by SJWD, the local water district. They allow boating, canoeing, kayaking, and of course, fishing! Take a look at the Spartanburg County Parks & Rec site to learn more about boat size and permit fees.
As if that’s not enough, Lyman Lake also has it’s own park! Here you will find picnic tables, two boat ramps, a large fishing dock (perfect for Saturday morning Biscuits & Brim with your buddies, LOL!), and a lodge. You can rent Lyman Lake Lodge for family reunions, weddings, or any other event. Pretty cool!
