So you’ve made the decision to join the Project Sell My House movement and you know what you’ve see on home improvement channels and online about how to get your house ready to sell, but do you really know it all? Just in case you missed something, we’ve put together a pre-listing checklist to help you out.
While there are some ideas on here that involve spending money, many of them do not and if your cash is tight, focus on the ones that only require sweat equity! Anyone can do a quick, average clean job and throw some paint on a wall, but doing that will not help you to stand out among the competition. Just because we’re currently in a seller’s real estate market doesn’t mean that you can do the bare minimum and get by.
Remember, you want to get the MOST MONEY for your house and the only way to do that is to make it the BEST HOUSE ON THE MARKET! And the only way to do that, is to keep in mind that the “devil is in the details.” You don’t want to overlook anything that may keep someone from wanting to pay top dollar.
